FAQ
HOW DO I SECURE MY DATE? Once you have been in touch and decided which package suits you best, I require a $1000 deposit to lock in your date. I then require the remaining payment 4 weeks before your wedding.
ARE YOUR PACKAGES FLEXIBLE? I’m always willing to try and work out a package that suits you and your plans – please get in touch and I can tailor a package for you.
HOW LONG SHOULD I ALLOW FOR WEDDING FORMALS? Ideally, it’s best to allow 1.5 – 2 hours for wedding formals but as an absolute minimum you need 1 hour of shooting time – don’t forget to add on any travel time to get to your shooting location(s).
DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS? Absolutely! I love going to new places and am more than happy to travel. There will be additional costs involved to cover travel time/petrol & accommodation where applicable but please get in touch and we can work out the best option for your special day.
WHO OWNS THE COPYRIGHT OF THE PHOTOGRAPHS? As the photographer I own the copyright to the images, however, you have a “home use” license, which entitles you to unlimited prints, emailing, sharing on social media and permission to enter into wedding competitions (with photography credit).
HOW MANY PHOTOGRAPHS WILL I RECEIVE FROM MY WEDDING DAY? As a general guide I expect to keep around 80 photos per hour of shooting. I don’t limit the amount of photos that I give you, I merely focus on the best images so I can spend more time on them – quality over quantity!
HOW LONG SHOULD I EXPECT TO WAIT BEFORE RECEIVING MY IMAGES? In peak season it can take up to 6 weeks (8 weeks max) to receive all your images, however, I will send through some sneak peeks and a short slideshow along the way and I will always endeavour to get your images to you as fast as possible.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHY? I believe in documenting your day in the most natural way possible – my goal is to be in the background so you can just relax and enjoy the day. However, I will offer some direction during the bridal photos so that you don’t end up standing around feeling awkward or not knowing what to do!
WHAT IS THE ADVANTAGE OF HAVING A SECOND SHOOTER? A second shooter offers a whole different range of angles and also ensures your day is captured in the most complete way possible. My second shooter would usually start off photographing the groom & groomsmen getting ready while I’m with the girls, and then will shoot the rest of the day from different perspectives and capture extra moments that could possibly be missed otherwise. I still collate all the images with my own and edit them so there is consistency across the day.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME FOR WEDDING PHOTOS? The best time for the wedding party shots is in the late afternoon/early evening when the lighting is not too bright. This helps create that beautiful, romantic atmosphere within the images. If you can incorporate some or all of the “golden hour” – the hour before sunset – even better! Of course I can work with your schedule and we’ll still get great results.
